We’re two creative folks who love making things. We also happen to be engaged and live in the same apartment! We make yarn, knits, hand-sewn clothes, ceramics, and felted objects. We have a passion for the history of craft, a commitment to working within local ecosystems and buying directly from farmers when possible, and a love of wacky objects and clothing with an artistic and joyful spirit (just like us!)
Carroll Street Crafts’ yarn production started when Caroline built a hackle from parts found at the hardware store and started blending wool and spinning on a drop spindle (we have a spinning wheel now). We’re really interested in finding unexpected combinations for yarns, and working with wool bought directly from farmers (Caroline is currently working through a large batch of roving she bought from a sheep farmer at a market in Maine!)
We’re still building out our ceramics and clothing inventory, but while we grow, our yarn is available to purchase on Etsy and Instagram.
